Jeffrey Dolan Story:
A Navy Nuclear Trained Electricians Mate, Second Class Petty Officer (E-5) with over 6 years of experience in the areas of Navy Nuclear Submarine electrical distribution and casualty control operations. A fully qualified Electrical Operator that had the responsibility of overseeing and maintaining continuity of electrical power for the entire submarine. He was battle tested on his skill sets an Electrical Operator through numerous emergency drills while safely and reliably maintaining the electrical distribution system running flawlessly within the prescribed regulatory guidelines and requirements of the Navy Nuclear program standards under stressful conditions.
His journey with Power4Vets first started when he was introduced to the program by a prior Power4Vet student and he then decided to enroll in January 2018. When Jeffrey enrolled into the program, he was unemployed, so the need to help facilitate him landing a job in the industry was a priority while he started his studies. As he was working on the Power System Operation courses, he landed a dream job as an Electric Transmission Grid Operator with ATC out of Wisconsin in June 2018. We then accelerated in his studies and moved him into the NERC Prep Course so he could achieve NERC Certification now that he was employed in the industry. Jeffrey passed his NERC Reliability Coordinator Certification exam in September 2018 with flying colors. We want to congratulate Jeffrey for believing in the program and pursuing his goals to achieve NERC Certification and landing a great career job in the utility industry with ATC.
“Words from Jeffrey Dolan”
I would highly recommend Power4Vets to anyone that would like to work in the utility industry. The courses and practice exams will have you ready for the NERC exam. I believe the job placement assistance was beyond helpful. The Power4Vets faculty, especially David Miranda, will have you ready to transition from the military to a civilian career by reviewing your resume, prep interviews, and getting you in touch with former Power4Vets members for advice. If you have a specific region or state in the country you would like to work, the program will find every possible opportunity available to accommodate you.
