Jessica Co story:
A Navy Nuclear trained Electrician’s Mate, Second Class Petty Officer (E-5) with over 6 years of experience in the areas of aircraft carrier electrical distribution and casualty control operations. She qualified Load Dispatcher and Shutdown Reactor Operator and was stationed aboard the USS Harry S. Truman (CVN-75), home ported out of Norfolk, VA. Her journey with our program started when she was referred to us by her Chief. Jessica enrolled into the Power4Vets program on July 15, 2016. Her journey took off at a rapid pace and she successfully completing the training program courses on September 12, 2016, then obtaining her NERC Reliability Coordinator Certification on October 31, 2016.
Upon her departure from the Navy in December 2016, she began working as a Loss Control Inspector Trainee in the King of Prussia, Pennsylvania area for the Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection and Insurance Company to gain some industry experience. She now works for Entergy in The Woodlands, TX as a System Operator II.
