Jose DeLaFuente Story,
A Navy Nuclear trained Machinist Mate, Second Class Petty Officer (E-5) with over 6 years of experience in the areas Navy Nuclear propulsion plant operations. During his military career he was the Chief Reactor Mechanical Supervisor, Quality Insurance Inspector, and then he filled the position as Work Center Supervisor of the Reactor Mechanical Division, and then held the position as Work Test Control/MCAP Coordinator. After his military career came to a close back in 2004, he was employed with a number of companies serving in a variety of capacities such as Field Service Technician, Plant Technician, Engineering Technician, Equipment Specialist, Auxiliary Operator, Instructor, and APO. He was the Director of Training at 360rpm and suddenly became unemployed and then heard about the Power4Vets program thru the Internet on a job board. His journey with Power4Vets program started in December 2015 and he really got engaged into the training courses and we helped facilitate his job search process and he successfully landed a job as a Remote Operator Control Center (ROCC) with EDPR Renewables within three months of being in the program. We want to congratulate Jose for believing in the program and remaining dedicated to his studies and the process and we wish him the best of luck in his new career job in the utility industry.
